This is a dogleg to the right and turns about one hundred & seventy yards (170) so off the tee you should try to hit at least that. Because the tee box is lower than the fairway and the distance required to carry the trees is difficult, it is not uncommon to play your favorite fairway woods off the tee. It is good golf course management to leave the driver in the bag and stay away from the trees on the right! Players that don't drive the dogleg have only one option, hit again; this makes for a difficult par. When playing your approach shot, be careful as the trees all along the right side are closer to the green than they appear.
